Hello ... as stated in the chat box, the site is moving to new hosting.  Although I've seen some people say that Dreams isn't writing for BtVS anymore, her site will still be here.  She can post anything she wants to this site.  Either way, you will be able to find all of her old completed and WIP stories here for BtVS.

You should get a different news message on top of this one when the site has moved properly.  You might experience a day or two of down time when the site will disappear.  Never fear, it will return.

Hello Everyone,

Due to a problem with spammed reviews (nearly 300 of them) at another efiction site I maintain for JackOfSpikes, I had to remove the ability for anonymous reviews to be left.  I've already gone through the problem with one site, and I see that it is something that can be exploited.  I don't want to go through it with this site too.

I apologize for having to do this.  Please understand that the time necessary to delete that much SPAM is pretty tiring.  So, I don't want that problem to creep it's way to here too.

You can still leave reviews, but you will need to register with the site here.  It's quick and easy, and you can select any User ID not already taken.  So, the options are endless for you.

Please continue to support DreamsOfSpike's writing by registering and leaving your reviews.  I apologize for any inconvenience this causes anyone.

If you ever have a problem with your password (i.e. it won't let you sign in no matter what you use that you thought you had), please email webmasterdbd at darktreasures dot net with the User ID and Password Problem in the subject of the email.

I will reset your password to a temporary one that I will give you in a return email. Please note that every temporary password will be different.  I will also ask look to verify that your email address information matches what is listed for the account. So please email me from your registered email address.

You will then be able to sign in with the temporary password and change the password to whatever you wish instead. 

This is not something that has happened very often (maybe once or twice). So, hopefully you won't have to worry about it.  I'm just posting the instructions for it in case you have any problems.

P.S. If anyone has created more than one account because of a password problem in the past, please email me.  We can delete any duplicate accounts and let you pick which one you want to be your account.  If it was an account you couldn't get the password to work for, then we'll follow the steps above to get you reset. 

A new banner was created by TheSpaceBetween as a gift to DreamsOfSpike.  In honor of this I've created another skin called DarkestDawn-2ndBanner.  You can select it in the layout choices.  If you are a registered user you can keep the skin you have as your default, or you can change it by going into your Edit Personal Information section of the Account Info link.

Someone or someone(s) have found a way to place SPAM messages on the Challenges page of this site. Today I had to individually delete 4 pages worth of entries that were ads for inappropriate things from JackOfSpikes' site. I then had to deal with 16 pages of the same thing here on Dreams' site. I am NOT happy about this in the least.

If this is something that continues, I will be forced to remove the Challenges page as an option for this site. I don't want it to come to that, but it takes a LONG time to individually delete, acknowldege the delete, and return to the renewed page for every inappropriate entry that I have to get rid of.

I will attempt to contact (or read through) the efiction 2.0 forum to see if they can help me either find the loophole that allowed this to happen or a setting to block it from happening again.

SECOND NOTE ON THE SAME TOPIC - I have finally found a way to delete the SPAM challenges in larger groups by going through a process with my database. It is still a bit of a pain, but at least I don't have to delete every single one individually. 16 pages worth still takes a considerable amount of time to take care of. Please do not abuse the Challenges page.

I will still be keeping my eye out for SPAM in the challenges page. I haven't found a way to modify who can and can't leave a challenge yet. We wanted it to be open to everyone, but the SPAM really isn't wanted for other things. I'll keep everyone posted.

DreamsOfSpike's newer story called Because He Needs Me has been nominated at the Fang Fetish Awards in the WIP category.  Congratulations DoS. 

You'd think after doing one of these sites already for someone else that it would go a lot quicker to make another. {Chuckles} It was faster than from scratch, but it still took me a couple days to get it all straightened around.

Right now only the DarkestDawn skin is complete. I will be working on the 3 column black soon. The site should be ready for DreamsOfSpike to start reposting all her stories though.
